Seven Miltonians Inducted Into Town of Milton Walk of Fame
Seven Miltonians inducted into the Town of Milton Walk of Fame during Ontario Heritage Week on February 21, 2026.
Professional women’s hockey players Victoria Bach and Megan Carter, horsemen Brad Grant and his father, the late John Grant, retired horse racing announcer Dan Loiselle, former federal Cabinet minister the Honourable Lisa Raitt and global electronic music producer Joel Zimmerman (Deadmau5) joined Milton Mayor Gord Krantz in the main foyer at Town Hall on Saturday February 21, 2026 at 2 p.m. for Walk of Fame ceremonies in their honour.
The Walk of Fame program was established in 2007 as a Town of Milton 150th Anniversary legacy project to recognize Milton’s best – current and former citizens of the community who achieved national and/or international recognition as top achievers in top-level fields of endeavour, including arts and entertainment, athletics, business and industry, government and public service and health and science.
To qualify, nominees must be born in Milton or spent formative or creative years here, have lived in the community for minimum of ten years, their accomplishments must be national and/or international in scope, those achievements must be best-in-class in his/her best-in-class field of endeavour and extended for minimum two calendar year period, and their achievement must fit into following fields: athletics, arts and entertainment, business and industry, government and public service and health and science.
“Each of these new members has demonstrated considerable national or international accomplishment in their chosen field of endeavour — and created a great deal of pride amongst their family members, friends and Miltonians, in general,” explained John Challinor II, Founder and Chairman, Town of Milton Walk of Fame Program.”Eighteen years after its inception and now with 83 inductees, the Walk of Fame is a shining beacon focused on the best we can be, while reminding us just how remarkable this community and its citizens have been for almost 170 years.”
The Walk of Fame program only occurs when a suitable number of achievers have been confirmed for induction. The program does not take place annually. CR
