Campbellville Baseball Parks May Be Named For Andrews, Dennis
Legendary Campbellville Merchants Baseball Club Manager Len Andrews (1920 – 2006) and longtime minor and senior baseball organizer Bill Dennis (1948 – 2025) may have the baseball parks in the old village named for them as a result of an initiative led by Town of Milton Ward 2 Councillor John Challinor II.
Mr. Challinor brought forward a motion to have Campbellville’s old baseball park renamed Len Andrews Field and its newer park renamed Bill Dennis Field. The motion was seconded by Town of Milton Ward 1 Councillor George Minakakis and was approved by Milton Council.
Town staff are proceeding with the renaming process according to its established policy, which includes public input as well as involvement by the larger local sporting community. CR
