Challinor Continues To Advocate For Milton At Pearson Airport
Since the early 1990s, Town of Milton Ward 2 Councillor John Challinor II has worked with the Greater Toronto Airports Authority, Pearson International Airport and NAV Canada on airplane noise matters affecting those who he represents in Milton.
Most recently, he participated in an airside tour on July 8th and the quarterly update meeting on July 22nd with airport officials.
Mr. Challinor has found that staff at these organizations have always been very responsive and, over the years, have made continuous improvements to flight patterns, flight timing and airplane technologies. Today, several thousand Miltonians work at the airport with various airlines, PIA, the GTAA or NAV Canada.
Given that the airport is scheduled to grow from 48 million passengers this year to 65 million by the early 2030s, the upgrade work will never end, principally because PIA will continue to be one of the busiest airports in North America. CR
