Milton Town Council Receives Report on Air Craft Noise
Milton Town Council has accepted a report from the Greater Toronto Airport Authority regarding aircraft noise impacts on Milton residents.
The report was brought forward to help the town get an understanding of how they can move forward in creating a solution.
Town Councillor for Ward 2 councillor, John Challinor II has had a relationship with the GTAA since the 90s.
Challinor rekindled their relationship when he found aircraft noise complaints were still a concern during his election campaign.
He has since sat in on two conference calls focused on mitigating noise in
Milton.
Challinor says that the GTAA has created a report, called 6 ideas.
Challinor has asked the GTAA and Nav Canada to work on creating a stronger relationship with the town in giving focused support to Milton.
He also says that now that they have the info they need it’s time to take action.
Challinor says he is interested to see if they can confirm that Milton is one of the busier air spaces in the GTA, because at one point we were.
